So, a couple of you messaged me on facebook about a status I put up about me fearing for my job. Well, now that I know everything's cool, I'm gonna' talk about what exactly happened.
I closed at work Sunday night, like I always do. Took my time to make sure I didn't miss anything and what not.
9am, Monday morning, when I probably got to sleep around 4am.. one of my supervisors calls me and says that there's a starting bank missing. Basically, it means that $200 is missing and I was the last person in charge of it. I explain how I physically counted all the bags the night before I left and made sure they were all there.
Needless to say, I panicked. I felt like there was a serious chance I could lose my job, which I'm about to go into year SIX if you can believe. It drove me crazy.. to the point where I did road rage a little on Monday before the first TNA taping and almost caused us to not even go.
Well, the supervisor who called said he'd tell me how everything was gonna' turn out. He never did. In fact, on my way out from the TNA show tonight, I had someone call HIM, where I finally got my answer. Turns out, the bag was never actually lost. Someone misplaced it where the morning lead didn't see it for a while, but it eventually turned up.
Would've been nice to know that BEFORE I freaked out!! Geez. >_

Alright, my father has a pretty serious heart condition. Everyone who's followed me knows that. Everyone also kept telling me, cause of my weight, I might eventually develop a problem also. I kinda' blew it off for a long time... but not anymore.
Last night, I came home from work and my heart rate just suddenly jumped for no reason. No pain, no arm going numb or anything like that, just my heart started beating faster then normal. I laid down and it finally slowed enough for me to get some sleep, after two hours of laying there. I didn't know if I was having an anxiety attack or what.
So today, I get up and it starts AGAIN.... so I used one of my dad's blood pressure cuffs and it registered me at 144/85 with a pulse rate of 84. It was at that point, I chose to call someone. My primary doctor was unavailable.... due to his taking his board exams today to renew his license. But his office recommended I visit a local clinic. I did so and they hooked me up to an ekg machine.
Turns out my heart is beating fine and my blood pressure is a little high, but not overly so. But they're recommending that I see a cardiologist as soon as I can anyway, just to be safe. Needless to say, I'll be taking that advice. I think this might be the wake up call I've needed to get my ass in gear and really try to lose some weight. >_>

Wow, it's been a while since I really had to rant about something. XD But this pissed me off so bad last night, I could barely see straight.
Ok, anyone who knows even a little bit about cars would know the signs of a major oil leak. Puddles of oil on the ground, white smoke coming from your engine or tail pipe, a constantly low oil level and so on.
Well, my car has NONE of that and yet, after a half hour wait, I was told by the car care center at my Wal-Mart that I have a "major oil leak" and that the REFUSED to change my oil till I got it fixed!
Jamie and I were so angry! Not so much that they wouldn't do the job, but that they wasted our time! We were told the actual oil change itself would be done in a half hour. We went back after the half hour was over, was told to wait cause the job wasn't done yet. Then another 15 mintues later is when they told us the job was NEVER DONE because of this supposed oil leak!! Couldn't they have called me back to the automotive department after they first saw what they thought was a leak and let me go so that I didn't kill 45 minutes of my time there!? Just plain retarded! I'm NEVER going there again for an oil change.

Ok, I don't usually post about my dreams, but this one was bizarre.
So get this.
I'm in a restaurant at an airport and have this red suitcase on rollers on the table next to me. Next thing I know, I look up and there's this guy taking my bag. He was either Asian-Indian or middle eastern. I yelled at him to stop with my bag and he started running, so I jumped up and ran after him. He got stuck trying to go down a busy escalator. So I caught up to him, grabbed my bag and started to walk off. He then said something to me, in a taunting fashion. So in my rage, I threw the bag at him, which knocked him down the escalator about half a floor. But the guy got up, taunted me again and ran off with my bag.
After that I went back and reported the guy to security and they asked me if I would be willing to delay my departure, which of course I agreed. That was when I woke up. Very strange.

So, last night was the low point in my work history at Universal.
It was another one of those days where as soon as I walk in, I hear "something happened last night and you have to see a supervisor". When I was told what went wrong the night before, my thoughts went two ways. First, it was a stupid mistake on a computer form and should have been easily fixed. Secondly, you honestly couldn't punish me for such a minor error, cause it didn't actually cost us any money. BOY was I wrong!!
What happened was I transferred some numbers the wrong way and it showed that our kennel department had 45 pets, but only made $20, where it should have been $450. The finance department saw this and threw an absolute fit. Now, if they would've actually LOOKED at the forms to see the error I made, they could see I made the minor error. Instead, they blew up on our department's management team, asking basically where their money was. Now, one of the other leads figured out the problem, fixed it and showed the correction to our managers who showed it to their managers and calmed them down. But, since they already caught hell, someone had to take a fall... that someone was me.
Now, I've had a tough couple of weeks before this. Having to work double shifts in place of a guy who's been calling in quite a bit. But those problems I was able to weather..... but when this came up, I had NO defense over it. They called me to the office last night and told me they were removing my team leader status!! I was very upset about this, but then when they explained why and what the alternative could have been, I was still upset, but not as badly.
See, I've had multiple write ups over the course of this year for tiny little shortfalls. But apparently, I've never been properly punished for those shortfalls. Turns out, that if I'd been properly punished for these problems I've had.... I more then likely would have lost my job outright last night! But, because my management team made that error and one of the managers is VERY high on me right now and wants to really keep me around... I was ONLY demoted and put on probation for 90 days. After the 90 day period is up, provided I don't make any big mistakes in the meantime, I will be reinstated. But yeah.... needless to say I'm rather disappointed.

So, my vacation started out great! The con was a lot of fun and we went to Universal on Monday, which wasn't bad beyond the weather.
Tuesday however, we get hit by Tropical Storm Fay. The three of us agreed that, with the storm moving in Tuesday, that it would be in our best interest to stay home, which we did and that wasn't too bad. Weather was windy and rainy, but not too bad.
Wednesday was a different story. The storm seemed to let up a bit, so we decided to go out to lunch and hit the Florida Mall to go shopping. Unfortunately, when I went out to start my car, it refused to start. After getting a jump start from my father's car, we thought it was just that the battery wasn't charged for some odd reason, but that if we left the car running for a while it would charge and be just fine. So I let the car run and charge the battery for a half hour. We thought it was alright, so we went on to lunch at Cici's Pizza. After lunch, we went out to the car to resume our activities and head for the mall...... the car wouldn't start. >_< Luckily my father was across the street at the hospital getting a checkup. He came over and jump started my car AGAIN and our trip was officially aborted. Just after that, I called home and told my mother of my car trouble and let her know we were on our way home. While on the phone, she mentioned seeing a guy from the cable company was in our backyard and just after mentioning that, our cable went out! We figured the problem with the car was the battery, so we pulled it out and took it to the store I bought it from a year and a half ago. Due to it having a 36 month return warranty, I was able to exchange it for a new one for little to no charge. That didn't happen because the associate checked the battery and said it was fine. They asked me to put the battery back in the car, bring the whole car up to the store and they could check my electrical system that way. They checked it and everything came out fine. So the guy sent me on my way. Not five minutes after the guy went back into his store, I went to start the car.... IT WOULDN'T START!! My father called the guy back out and I showed him what it was doing. He had NO explanation other then to speculate that it was a wiring problem. So, now extremely aggravated, I went home to plan my next move. What made things worse was that our cable and internet were down and the company couldn't fix it cause of the weather. The rain actually got WORSE over the course of the day and evening.
Thursday as a troubling day. My parents both had doctor's appointments and Jamie's sister had to catch her flight home early in the day. Fortunatly, I was able to borrow my father's car to take her to the airport and her mother was able to call her with her conformation number with the net still down. The cable company came to the house just before we went to leave and the guy told us that someone disconnected our cable from the physical poll, but he couldn't get on the ladder to reconnect it due to the winds being too high. So we went to the airport, that all went fairly smoothly and everything for the day went alright. Except for the fact that my car was still out of comission and my cable and net were still out ALL DAY and NIGHT! On top of that, the weather got worse again in the evening hours. Winds and rain kicked up pretty fierce. It feels like the rain will never end.
Friday, I woke up early today so I could take my car to a shop that specialized in automotive electronics. The guy told me the battery was crap. I told him what the parts store told me and he said that was all KINDS of BS and that, if we expected to get the car running, we had to start by changing the battery. So we took the battery back to the parts store and told them what the mechanic told us and they replaced the battery. We put it in and the car started right up with no problem. Hopefully, this is the ONLY problem with this car. But hey, so far so good. Oh... and the rain's finally starting to let up. Just in time for me to go back to work tomorrow XP.

I just had the most bizarre dream.
One night, I went and dropped Jamie off somewhere, I think at Wal-Mart or something with the intention of picking her up after a short amount of time. Cause I didn't feel like waiting there, I'd driven to a nearby game store. After talking to some guy who asked me a question and went inside to look around.
After looking around and bs'ing with the people working at the store, I went outside and found my car missing. I determined that the guy I was talking to earlier had stolen it, because his car was still there. Somehow, I got his car going and started using IT, till the next day.
I was driving along and saw what I thought was MY car in a mechanic's shop in a pit. I went in there and explained to the owner what happened to my car, who I was sure did it and that my car was in his shop. Turns out the guy who stole my car WORKS there! So the owner goes to get the car out, which looks like mine from the outside, but the interior is totally different. After looking at the tag on the back, I realized it's not my car....
That's when I woke up. Those of you who actually read what I write, please comment. I wanna' hear what you all think of this.

As you all know, I'm a big wrestling fan and attend the TNA Wrestling tapings at Universal every two weeks. Well.... something happened between one of my friends/co-workers and one of the wrestlers. Here's what went down.
It started out innocently enough. Devon came over to Luis (my friend) cause he had a sign that said "Team 3D sucks", took the sign from Luis and then had words with him. I watched that whole scene cause I thought it was funny cause I know Devon does that all the time. Luis' hands never left the rail during that or after that.
A very short time afterword, Bubba walks over, grabs Luis by the collar of his shirt, which is how his necklaces broke (one being the chain I told you about, the other was a black cord) and started yelling at him about something, but I couldn't understand what was being said.
After Bubba let go and Luis realized his necklace was broken, he got mega angry. I actually had to hold him back from jumping the rail! Bubba was staying in character, taunting Luis by saying "What're ya' gonna' do ya' spick bitch!?"
Soon after the guys left the "arena" area, TNA production staff and Universal security pulled Luis away and told him he should never touch the wrestlers. Luis explained that he didn't touch anyone and mentioned how Bubba broke his chain in the scene, which they let Luis come back out for the last match. The security officer came out a bit later told Luis that Bubba thought Luis touched Devon, which is why he went off like that and that Bubba was sorry.
The only problem is, there was no offer from anyone to have Luis' chain repaired. But I'm working on taking care of that personally.

Last night (May 10, ‘08), at about 11:20 I overhear a call on my radio from resort control (security) that we need to stop incoming traffic from going into the north garage, specifically level 4.
About 11:35 Security ordered all guests and personnel evacuated from the garage
After that, it became a waiting game. While they did not want anyone going into the north garage, they weren’t stopping people from coming for Citywalk in general. As there’s a second parking garage, they let incoming traffic go into there, which I didn’t think was that good of an idea. There fore, I was sent to monitor the incoming traffic.
I think at about 12:30a, the bomb squad showed up.
For the next hour I sat there, listening to our radio for any kind of update.
Finally, at about 1:20am, we get the all clear from Security to re-open the north garage,
That’s all the official stuff. But obviously there was a little more to it then that. All the official news releases are saying is that it was a “suspicious device”. From what one of the Security guards I talked to told me, it was a gas can with a C-4 pack attached to it, Though he said he knows explosives and that there was enough C-4 to “level the building”, I’m not sure wither to believe this guy or not though, cause he has a tendency to sensationalize things a bit. Turns out he was half right
The official Channel 9 story: http://www.wftv.com/news/16230023/detail.html
That's right! Turns out the whole thing was cause simply by a gas can left in the wrong place at the wrong time! Oh well, I guess it's better to be safe then sorry.

Man, things have just been crazy the past month or so. Work's been insane with Mardi Gras going on and having to deal with other events on top of it. Then there was the super weekend of wrestling around here followed by my birthday. Things are just now starting to calm down.
Though I can't start resting too soon. I still have one more Mardi Gras to deal with, then next week is Grad Bash, which most of us leads are working two consecutive 11 hour shifts.
Then the middle of next month I'm going to another TNA PPV, Sacrifice, which is gonna' be fun. Then there's a possibility that a certain someone on my friends list might be coming down at the end of May. Though I'm not sure, cause I haven't heard from her since she told me. Anyway, time to get ready for work. Later everyone... feel free to comment! Let me know you're reading!!

Well, one small piece of semi-good news. But more bad news.
The semi-good news is, my thoughts on Triple H were wrong. Turns out his sister's husband had died. So he was attending to her, which is why he was away.
On a sad note, I found out today that we lost another co-worker. Richard Garcia, who was instramental in training me for my lead status before his stroke early last year, passed away this morning after suffering a heart attack early this week. My thoughts go out to his family and I know myself and the Parking staff will miss him greatly.
2/5/08 01:30 am
.... have you ever had that? Well, I'm kinda' feeling that right now. It's cause of something I heard earlier that just sent a chill through my body.
I was watching Raw earlier this evening and they were hyping one of the two main events at No Way Out. The main event match for Raw was a six-man tag match, between 5 of the 6 combatants from that match. The one missing was Triple H. Now, I wouldn't have had a problem or thought anything of this. But when Jim Ross said the reasom for Hunter's absense... I froze for a moment. A "family emergancy"..... the last time we heard that uttered during a live WWE event... June 24, 2007 Vengance: Night of Champions. The day after that, we found out about the deaths of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and thier son, which would later be determined as a double murder suicide.
I'm just hoping that this isn't happening again..... I hope it's just me being paranoid. But when the rumor site that I go to the most often says this his whereabouts during the show this evening were unknown... it just makes me wonder.

So get this. Jamie and I go to Universal this afternoon in order to attend the TNA Impact taping and get some lunch. I had this ticket from work that allowed me to get a one time 50% discount at select resturants inside the parks. So, I with my employee ID and Jamie with her Annual Pass, went into Islands of Adventure to get lunch. Our #1 choice had too long of a wait, so we found another place to eat.
We left to head to Universal about an hour after lunch inside IOA. We get to the gate and a woman scans Jamie's AP card. Jamie moves on, thinking nothing of it. But just as the woman goes to scan my ID, she turns and stops Jamie saying, "Ma'am, you can't go in. Your pass is expired." Needless to say, we were both shocked. The woman explained, "It says here your pass expired on the 16th" After she said that, I explained how we'd JUST come from IOA and got in there without a problem. The woman responded with, "They must've made a mistake over there, but I'm not going to let it happen again."
Needless to say, Jamie and I were BOTH very upset. We even went to guest services and got her pass checked and, sure enough, it expired January 16, 2008. Because of this, we weren't able to go to the TNA taping tonight. What aggrivates me even more, is if they would've notified Jamie that her pass was about to expire, I would've been ready for this. I have a ticket that would renew her pass for another year, but since we didn't know her's was already expired, I didn't have it with me. I think when I go back to work, I'll put a suggestion in that we notify our annual pass guests in one way or another, ahead of time, when thier passes are about to expire.

The past couple of days have been kinda' tough for us at work.
Yesterday, I recieved a phone call from the wife of a co-worker of mine that said co-worker had a heart attack and was, at that time, on a resperator. His health hadn't been all that great as of the past year and he probably shouldn't have continued working. But he did, dispite his declining health. He worked every day he could.
This afternoon, when I arrived at work, I was told by a fellow team leader that the man had passed away at about 2pm today. To be honest, I'm still kind of in shock. I guess it's just now hitting me that I'm not going to see the man again. This is a guy who taught me most of what I know now at my job. He was there from the day I started working there. I'm gonna' miss him a great deal.

So, I went to this indy wrestling show a few weeks ago to see a friend make his pro debut in a match. Well, I recently found out that his match was posted on youtube! If you'd like to see the match, I'll put the clips from youtube into a cut. My buddy's ring name is "Big Wave" Dave.

So, Jamie and I went to the first of two TNA Impact tapings (the third straight day of wrestling if you add in the pay per view show). Jamie's a fan of the wrestler Sonjay Dutt who absolutely killed it in a match with Jay Lethal the night before. So Jamie got the idea to dress up in her sari (sp?), put on a wig she got for her halloween costume and dressed up as an indian.
Well, before we went to wrestling, I decided to do as the subject says. Here are the results, enjoy ( Read more... )
